As your child enters pre-k, we are honored and excited to join you in taking on the responsibility of educating your child. Through a joint effort at home and school, your child will have many opportunities to grow in language, social, pre-academic, motor and cognitive skills. Parents are their children’s best and most important teachers. We consider our pre-k staff, along with you, the parents, to be a “team” in school and at home. It is our goal to work together to help parents know they can make a vital difference in their child’s life. Side by side as partners, parents and staff will provide a warm and secure environment for growth.
Here at Lyle, we strive to create, in each child, a sense of self worth and love for learning. Children’s play is their work. It is the one way they have of making sense of the world in which they live, and of developing their skills – emotionally, intellectually, socially, and physically. Our staff is guided by the research based curriculum, Creative Curriculum. Creative Curriculum offers children success and confidence in themselves and their work. We strive to capture the learning interests and curiosity of each child, through educational experiences and by providing an environment in which the child feels free to explore and learn without fear of failure.
We at Lyle School genuinely hope your child’s time here will be an enriching experience. Here is to a great school beginning!
