Soldiers, Students and Social-Emotional Learning

The students at Belle Alexander Elementary had a special visitor to help them learn their new social-emotional learning skill of the month.  Chief Warrant Officer, Greg Eble, visited the Kindergarten and 1st Grade classrooms with their School Counselor, Miss Mikenas, to help students learn about being responsible.  Eble helped explain the importance of being responsible and how soldiers have many responsibilities in their jobs each day. He also shared with them parts of his job and answered many of their questions. “We have a lot of young students who are interested in the military and I thought this would be a great way to intertwine social-emotional learning and career awareness,” states Mikenas.
