Irving holds March Madness Contig Tournament

Irving holds March Madness Contig Tournament

The third graders at Irving held a March Madness Contig tournament. Each class had a tournament to determine the class winner that would advance to the Championship bracket. The class winners were Elijah Mitchell, Matthew Huggins, Chloe Carter, Jazmin Hernandez, Juan Zepeda, and Damaris Diaz Favela. Matthew and Damaris advanced to the final round with Damaris as the 3rd grade Champion!

Contig is a math game played with 3 dice and a game board. Each turn consists of rolling the dice and either adding, subtracting, multiplying or dividing the numbers until you find an open square on the game board to cross off. The points are determined by how many squares your number touches. Whoever has the highest points after a determined number of rounds is the winner.
