KHS's Nolan Qualifies for State Track in Two Events

Sophomore T Nolan sets KHS record in 300m hurdles during Class 2A Sectional!  The previous record was 48.1 seconds held by Kelli Goreth since 1988 making her run of 47.68 seconds the fastest time ever clocked by a KHS student.  Nolan qualified for state in the high jump and the 300 meter hurdles.  Nolan will be competing at the State Tournament on Friday, May 17th and if she qualifies, again on May 18th.

During the Class 2A Sectional M Welgat also broke a KHS triple jump record that was held by Jackie Hansen since 2007 (32 feet, 8 inches). Welgat jumped 32 feet 8 1/2 inces on her 4th attempt.  On Welgat's 5th attempt she improved to 32 feet 9 inches.
