Good Day, I am sure that everyone is aware that Governor Pritzker extended hisĀ ...

First I want to say, I miss your children and I have heard from Irving teachers who have expressed the same! However, I do hope everyone is doing well staying healthy and safe during these unprecedented times. In response, Irving Elementary School will be offering Off-Site Learning during the continued school closure due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease) pandemic. It is our goal to ensure continued learning experiences for our students in a manner which allows for their safety. Off-Site Learning will continue through the duration of school closure in two forms: Paper Based or On-line. Please find the information below as for whichever the case is for your Irving student.

  • Paper-based learning: Learning packets will be delivered every Tuesday beginning March 31st. Completed packets will be picked up the following Tuesday of the cycle when new material is distributed. Hours of delivery will be during district food distribution. (Approximately 9 a.m.-1 p.m.) Students who receive the paper based packets will be considered in attendance.
     
  • On-line Learning: All students must complete attendance daily by 3 p.m. by going to the district website (www.kcud229.org). Choose the Learning Center tab at the top of the page, choose Irving School, then choose the attendance link on the bottom right of the school page. Complete attendance and submit.
    • Students will login daily to their Google account to join Google Classrooms. A link to Google Classroom is located on the Irving Remote Learning page on the district website. It is located on the bottom right of the page with the attendance link.
       
    • To sign into Google Classroom, the student username is the student’s KCUD email (listed on Skyward) and password is the student’s lunch number (also found on Skyward) followed by three zeros. (Ex. Username: bugsbunny@students.kcud229.org and Password: 44321000) Don’t forget the three zeros!

If you have not done so, please sign up for district meals during school closure! They are delicious and are available for delivery or pick up Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Please call the school office if you have questions or would like to sign up!
