Adaptive Pause week of November 30 thru December 4

Parents/Staff,

After several days of discussions with our school nurses,     Henry & Stark County Health Department Administrator Duane Stevens and the  Director of Emergency Management  Mat Schnepple, it has been determined that all students will be learning remotely the week of November 30th to December 4th. Students will return for in-person instruction on Tuesday, December 8th.

This strategy is considered an Adaptive Pause by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

Hopefully, taking this break from in-person instruction will allow you to identify symptoms that your child may develop after the Thanksgiving break. Thus, preventing pre-symptomatic students from attending school this week.

Free Grab n  Go breakfast lunch meals can be picked at Central School or Kewanee High School. The District will be delivering lunches to Fairview, Lakeland, and Prairie Green housing locations.

This week of Adaptive Pause, will only affect parents of Hybrid students for two additional days this week.

As a reminder, please keep CDC guidelines in mind when planning or attending events over Thanksgiving Break.

Stay Safe.
