Kewanee Schools Celebrate 2019 Dr. Suess Birthday

1st Grade students celebrated with a variety of activities corresponding with different Dr. Seuss stories.   Students read, "There's a Wocket In My Pocket" and created their own version of a wocket. They used their math AND reading skills to graph goldfish crackers while reading "1 Fish, 2 Fish." They also designed their favorite meal as they read "Green Eggs & Ham." While reading "Horton and the Egg" students creatively combined different animals to make a new species.   Everyone got to author their own rhyming poems like the story "The Cat in the Hat."
