Central School Transforms into "ER" for Stem Challenge

Mrs. Carlson & Mrs. Ralston (5th grade) transformed thier classrooms into ERs and students worked in areas of Math, Science and Language Arts to "save" their pateints.

For our hospital room transformation, students dressed as doctors to work on patients throughout the day, focusing on math in the morning and literacy in the afternoon. During math, students solved equations using order of operations. During Reading, students analyzed passages and used context clues to determine the meaning of vocabulary words. To end the day, students worked on a STEM challenge, building a bone bridge.
