Kewanee High School Ag Teacher and FFA advisor Kindra Callahan received the prestigious honor of winning the Black Hawk East 2022 Outstanding Ag Alumni Award. Mrs. Callahan has an unwavering commitment to agriculture education, BHE, the FFA, and Kewanee High School.
Kewanee FFA was recently named a National Finalists in the National Chapter Award out of 355 FFA chapters in Illinois. This means they were recognized as one of the top 10% FFA Chapters in the state for 2022!
The National Chapter Award is an over 20 page award application that is submitted to the Illinois Association FFA each year. The application highlights our chapter’s annual program of activities. The National Chapter Award Program is designed to recognize FFA chapters that actively implement the mission and strategies of the National FFA Organization which prioritize activities in the following categories: growing leaders, building communities and strengthening agriculture. Kewanee FFA was ranked GOLD in each of these categories!
