Kelsey Scott was elected to serve as the 2026–2027 Section 3 President

Summer Simmons was elected to serve as the 2026–2027 Section 3 Historian

Kelsey’s accomplishment is especially significant, as she now becomes one of only 25 Section Presidents across the entire state of Illinois.

“These positions are not easily earned,” said Kewanee FFA advisors. “They require tremendous dedication, preparation, leadership, and courage. We are incredibly proud of Kelsey and Summer for the way they represented Kewanee throughout the entire process.”

Candidates for the officer team completed extensive preparation, including:

Serving as chapter leadership team members

Completing the official officer application process

Participating in interviews and speeches

Campaigning and engaging in delegate voting

The evening also showcased the creativity and talent of Kewanee FFA members in the Section 3 Ag Communications Contest.
