Welcome to Irving Elementary School!
My name is Amanda Minx, and I am honored to serve as the principal of Irving Elementary.
At Irving, we are proud to serve our second and third grade students in a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every child is encouraged to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our vision at Irving is simple:
We are committed to motivating and educating students to learn in a caring school community.
Every day, our dedicated teachers and staff work to create meaningful learning experiences that inspire curiosity, build confidence, and help students reach their full potential. We believe that learning should be both challenging and enjoyable, and we strive to provide opportunities for students to explore, create, collaborate, and succeed.
At Irving, we focus on educating the whole child. Along with strong instruction in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies, we place a strong emphasis on social emotional learning, positive relationships, and character development. As a PBIS school, we teach and celebrate positive behaviors while helping students develop the skills needed to be respectful, responsible, and successful members of our school community.
Our students benefit from a variety of programs and supports designed to meet their individual needs. Whether through classroom instruction, intervention services, enrichment opportunities, or other experiences, we are committed to helping every student thrive.
One of the greatest strengths of Irving Elementary is the partnership we share with our families and community. We believe education is most successful when schools and families work together. Throughout the year, we offer family engagement events, volunteer opportunities, and school activities that help strengthen those important connections.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Irving Elementary School. We are proud of our students, staff, and school community, and we look forward to partnering with you as we continue to learn, grow, and succeed together.
